Appeal for information on fatal accident in Kwun Tong

Police today (October 18) appealed for information about a traffic accident in Kwun Tong last Sunday (October 14) in which a 75-year-old man was injured, and who later died in hospital.

About 11pm on October 14, a car driven by a 34-year-old man was travelling east along Kwun Tong Road. At the junction with Ting Fu Street, the old man ran across the road. The driver swerved right but a car travelling behind him hit the man.

He was taken to the United Christian Hospital where he was certified dead at 1.45am on October 16.

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team, Traffic Kowloon East are proceeding.
