Man charged with murder

Police today (October 8) charged a 50-year-old man with one count of murder.

The man was arrested in connection with the death of a 46-year-old woman who was found lying with neck injuries on a bed inside the bedroom of her flat at 554-560 Queen's Road West, Western District yesterday. She was later certified dead at the scene.

Investigation revealed that the 50-year-old man was the woman's husband and it was suspected that the man had killed his wife before leaping from the top floor of the building.

The man will appear in Esatern Magistrates' Courts tomorrow (October 9).
