Fatal traffic accident in Tuen Mun

Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in which a 34-year-old man was killed in Tuen Mun this morning (December 12).

At about 11.25 am, a light goods vehicle driven by the 34-year-old man was travelling along Yuen Long Highway towards Tuen Mun. Upon reaching Fu Tai Estate after it turned into the Lingnan Section of Castle Peak Road, the vehicle reportedly lost control and rammed traffic lights and railings. Afterwards, it side turned to its offside.

After the impact, the driver and his 38-year-old male passenger were rushed to Tuen Mun Hospital where the driver was certified dead at 12.23 pm.

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North are proceeding.
