Appeal for information on robbery in Tsim Sha Tsui

Police appealed to the public for information on a robbery case in which over $0.76 million worth of second-handed mobile phones were stolen in Tsim Sha Tsui on November 22.

Shortly after 10.20am on November 22, Police received a report from a 39-year-old man that three men rushed into his trading company located in Mody Road, Tsim Sha Tsui and robbed away more than 3 000 second-handed mobile phones packed in four carton boxes with a value exceeding $0.76 million.

Investigation revealed that three men gained entry into the company by pressing the doorbell and tied up four female staff there and sealed their mouths with adhesive tapes. They then robbed the second-handed mobile phones and at the same time took away three mobile phones and one digital camera belonged to the four staff respectively.

It was believed that the culprits fled to Bristol Avenue after leaving the building and one of them may sustain cut wound to his hands while using cutter to open the carton boxes.

The three male culprits aged between 20 and 40, are ranging from 1.65 to 1.75 metres tall and speaking with mainland accent. One of them is of thin build and was wearing a white jacket and a pair of black trousers when committing the crime. The other one is of fat build with black short hair and was wearing a white T-shirt and holding a fruit knife at that moment. With a square face and short black hair, the third culprit is of thin build and was wearing a red jacket when the incident occurred.

Investigations by District Crime Squad of Yau Tsim are underway.
