Appeal for information on robbery in Sham Shui Po
Police appeal to members of the public for information on a robbery case in a 58-year-old taxi driver was assaulted with multiple chop wounds in Sham Shui Po early this (September 28) morning.
At about 3.10am, Police received reports that a man was heard shouting for help and the 58-year-old taxi driver was later located and found injured inside a compartment of a taxi outside 229 Hai Tan Street.
Sustaining serious injuries with multiple chop wounds on his face, right hand and chest, the victim was rushed to the Carita Medical Centre for medical treatment and is now in critical condition.
Initial enquiries believed that the victim was robbed by a young man wearing a white cap and a black T-shirt. He fled along Hai Tan Street and Kiu Kiang Street to Lai Chi Kok Road in Mei Foo direction afterwards.
Investigations by the District Crime Squad of Sham Shui Po are proceeding.
