Duo jailed for burglary
Two men, aged 48 and 49, were sentenced to twenty-eight months and twenty-six months imprisonment respectively for burglary at District Court today (July 18).
The court heard that officers of Police Regional Crime Unit of Kowloon West conducted an anti-burglary operation in Yau Ma Tei in the evening of April 17.
At about 1 am on April 18, Police arrested one of the defendants, a 49-year-old man, after he had burgled into a restaurant at No. 438 Nathan Road. Another defendant aged 48, who acted as a lookout at the vicinity, was arrested subsequently.
The duo were jointly charged with one count of burglary.
They pleaded guilty to their charge and sentence was handed down today.
