To optimise the Force’s publicity effort, Planning and Development Branch (P&D) piloted the new eDisplay system in the New Generation Report Room (NGRR) of Chai Wan Division (CWDIV) in the fourth quarter of 2022. P&D makes use of the eDisplay, a centralised content management platform developed by E-Police Division of Information Systems Wing, to remotely cast publicity materials from the Public Relations Wing and other units onto the display screens at the report room in real time to facilitate the public receiving information of the Force in digital image format.

To enhance service quality and provide a higher degree of privacy and security, the P&D has been implementing NGRR programme since 2010. There are 13 NGRRs in the Force, including the latest one commissioned in June 2022 in Chai Wan Police Station. Over the years, P&D strives to continuously improve the facilities in NGRRs for enhancing report room services and fostering service efficiency.
