The detective training programmes offered by the Police College gained professional accreditation from the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications. This affirms the Police College's achievement in providing officers with accredited pathways to higher qualifications.
The Police College marked its 10th Anniversary with an open day that attracted about 7,000 visitors to its campus.
To celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Police College and the 65th Anniversary of the Police Band, the Force collaborated with the Community Chest of Hong Kong to stage two charity concerts that raised funds for the Chest.
The Information Security Management System developed by the Digital Forensics Section of the Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau passed the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification audit, demonstrating the Force's commitment to safeguarding information security and strengthening the protection of digital evidence.
The Hong Kong Council of Social Service presented the 10 Years Plus Caring Organisation Logo to the Force. Kowloon City District also won the Outstanding Partnership Project Award for its STAR-MAKING Project.
The Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau organised the Cyber Security Summit, raising local awareness of cyber security and strengthening co-operation between law enforcement agencies and industry.
To celebrate the Force Escort Group's 30th Anniversary, a special exhibition was held to showcase its history. The exhibition included valuable historical photos and former and current police motorcycles.
The Force won the Hong Kong Institute of Human Resource Management's Grand Award of the Year, in recognition of its outstanding human resources management strategies and practices.
The Peak Police Station opened its doors to the public to celebrate its 130th Anniversary. Visitors could learn more about the station, which was built in 1886 and has been classified as a Grade 3 Historic Building by the Antiquities Advisory Board.
The Force received the Global Most Admired Knowledge Enterprise (MAKE) Award (Independent Operating Unit) in recognition of its outstanding performance in fostering a knowledge-sharing culture and nurturing a learning organisation.
