Police appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in Kwai Chung

Police today (September 5) appealed for information about a traffic accident in Kwai Chung On July 28 in which a 60-year-old woman who was injured subsequently died in hospital.

A motorcycle being driven by a 29-year-old man was travelling along Lai King Hill Road towards Kwai Chung about 7.30pm on July 28. At the junction with Joint Street, the motorcycle hit the woman who was pushing an iron cart along the side of the road. She fell on the ground and was then hit by a car travelling behind the motorcycle.

The woman was taken to Princess Margaret Hospital where she was certified dead at 10.43am on September 2.

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories South are underway.
