Nine men charged with conspiracy to defraud

Police tonight (August 28) charged nine men with conspiracy to defraud after they were arrested for submitting false documents to to obtain credit facilities from six local banks between April 2004 and March 2006.

They were among the 19 persons arrested by Commercial Crime Bureau (CCB) officers in an operation this (August 28) morning.

The remaining four men and six women arrested persons have been released on bail pending further investigation.
