Appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in Kwun Tong

Police are investigating a traffic accident in which a 22-year-old woman was injured in Kwun Tong on June 8 and was certified dead on June 12.

At about 1.25 pm on June 8, a light goods vehicle driven by a 24-year-old man was travelling along Kwun Tong Road heading Yau Tong. While reaching near Hong Ning Road, it reportedly knocked down the 22-year-old woman who was crossing the road.

Sustaining serious head injury, the woman was rushed to the United Christian Hospital and later transferred to Queen Elizabeth Hospital where she was certified dead at 5.30 pm on June 12.

Investigations by Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East are proceeding.
