Appeal for information on burglary in Kwai Chung (with photos)
Police today (May 17) appeal for information on a burglary in which a total of about $2.49 million worth of goods were stolen in Kwai Chung on May 12.
Initial enquiries revealed a project manager of a logistics company reported to the Police that a group of culprits broke into the warehouse on Kung Yip Street in Kwai Chung and stole one medium goods vehicle and one light goods vehicle belonged to the logistics company as well as some electronic parts and accessories of MP3 and MP4.
After investigation, two males were arrested respectively on May 12 and 14. The two missing vehicles were also located.
Thirty-four boxes of electronic parts worth about $2.49 million stolen by the culprits were still uncovered.
Apart from the two arrestees, there were four wanted persons aged between 25 and 30 suspected in connection with the case.
Investigations by the District Crime Squad of Kwai Tsing are proceeding.
Anyone who might have information to offer is urged to contact the investigating officers at 2410 2200.
Police also remind the public that when someone offers them a large quantity of electronic parts and accessories at a lower price and they found the goods with suspicious origin should immediately report to the Police.
