Fatal traffic accident in Cheung Sha Wan

Police are investigating a traffic accident in which a 19-year-old man was killed in Cheung Sha Wan late last night (May 6).

At around 11.30 pm, a motorcycle driven by the 19-year-old man was travelling along Tai Po Road towards Sham Shui Po. Upon reaching the junction with Lung Cheung Road, the vehicle reportedly lost control and crashed a lamppost on the left.

Sustaining head injuries, the driver was rushed to the Caritas Medical Centre where he was certified dead at 11.49 pm.

The case will be taken over by Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West.
