Fatal traffic accident in Tuen Mun

Police are investigating a traffic accident in which a 76-year-old woman was killed in Tuen Mun this evening (April 24).

At around 8.15 pm, a private car driven by a 26-year-old man was travelling along Ming Kum Road heading west. Upon reaching the junction of Shek Pai Tau Road, it reportedly knocked down the elderly woman who was crossing the road.

Sustaining serious head injury, she was rushed to Tuen Mun Hospital where she was certified dead at 8.42 pm.

The case will be taken over by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic New Territories North for investigation.
