Appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in Wong Tai Sin

Police appealed to members of the public for information on a traffic accident in which an 86-year-old woman was injured in Wong Tai Sin in March and later died.

At about 6.20 pm on March 19, a 48-year-old man was riding a motorcycle along Po Kong Village Road upslope. Upon reaching the pedestrian crossing near Fu Yan House, Fu Shan Estate, the motorcycle reportedly lost control and knocked down an 86-year-old woman who was crossing the road.

Sustaining serious injuries to her head and left leg, the woman was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital where she was certified dead at 6.45 pm on April 16.

Investigations by Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East are underway.
