Joint HK-Shenzhen Police Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition

Some 400 works of Hong Kong and Shenzhen police officers including calligraphy, Chinese painting, western painting, seal carving and hard-point penmanship will be showcased at the Exhibition Hall, Ground Floor, Hong Kong Central Library, Causeway Bay from tomorrow (March 28) to March 30.

The "Hong Kong-Shenzhen Police Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition" was jointly organised by the Hong Kong Police Force, Shenzhen Municipal Public Security Bureau, Hong Kong Police Painting and Calligraphy Club and the Shenzhen Police (Blue Shield) Painting and Calligraphy Club, with the support of Public Security Bureau of China, Guangdong Provincial Public Security Department, Shenzhen Municipal Government and Shenzhen Municipal Cultural Federation.

The two art clubs began to co-organise painting and calligraphy exchange activities 12 years ago. The first Joint Hong Kong-Shenzhen Police Painting and Calligraphy Tour Exhibitions were held at the Shenzhen Municipal Museum and the Hong Kong City Hall in late 1995 and early 1996 respectively.

The coming exhibition was first held at the Guanshanyue Art Gallery in Shenzhen in early March before moving to Hong Kong.

It will be open to the public from noon to 6.30 pm on March 28, from 9 am to 8 pm on March 29 and from 9 am to 6 pm on March 30. Admission is free.
