Special traffic measures in Mong Kok Flower Market

Police will implement special traffic arrangements at Flower Market Road Area during and before Lunar New Year Festival period.

(A)Temporary Road Closures
1. The junction of Flower Market Road and Sai Yee Street will be closed from 8 am on February 13 until 8 am on February 18. No vehicle will be allowed to access Flower Market Road, Yuen Ngai Street, Yuen Po Street and a section of Prince Edward Road West service Road between Sai Yee Street and Yuen Po Street.

2.Between 8 am on February 10 and 8 am on February 18, and subject to the prevailing traffic situation, traffic control measures may be taken on the following sections of road:
- the section of Flower Market Road, Yuen Ngai Street, Fa Po Street and Prince Edward Road West service road;
- the section of Sai Yee Street between Prince Edward Road West and Boundary Street;
- the section of Fa Yuen Street between Prince Edward Road West and Boundary Street;
- the section of Playing Field Road between Tung Choi Street and Sai Yee Street;
- the section of Prince Edward Road West service road between Nathan Road and Sai Yee Street.

(B)Temporary Suspension of Taxi Stand
- The taxi stand at Fa Yuen Street between Prince Edward Road West service road and Playing Field Road will be suspended from 8 am on February 17 to 8 am on February 18.

(C)Temporary Suspension of Parking Spaces
The parking spaces in the following road sections will be suspended from 8 am on February 13 to 8 am on February 18:
- Playing Field Road between Tung Choi Street and Sai Yee Street;
- Fa Yuen Street between Prince Edward Road West service Road and Boundary Street;
- Motorcycle parking spaces along Playing Field Road between Tung Choi Street and Fa Yuen Street and under the Prince Edward Road West Flyover between Tung Choi Street and Sai Yee Street.

(D) Entry/Exit to the Flower Market, Fa Hui Park and Prince Edward MTR Station.
Subject to prevailing crowd conditions on the evening of February 17, crowd control measures will be put in place as follows:

Entry and Exit at the Flower Market
People may enter the Flower Market only at the Sai Yee Street junction with Flower Market Road. People may Exit the Flower Market only via Yuen Ngai Street, Yuen Po Street and the Prince Edward Road West service road.

Entry and Exit at Prince Edward MTR Station
A one-way flow system will be implemented at Exit A and Entrance B1.

Exit A (Playing Field Road) will be used for egress only. Members of the public wishing to go to the Flower Market should leave the MTR via Exit A, and proceed along Playing Field Road to Sai Yee Street where they may gain access to the Flower Market. Members of the public wishing to go to the Fa Hui Park Lunar New Year Market Fair should exit the MTR via Exit A, then proceed north to Boundary Street where they may gain access to Fa Hui Park.

Entrance B1 (Prince Edward Road West) will be used for ingress only. Members of the public wishing to enter the Prince Edward MTR Station from the Flower Market should proceed to Entrance B1.
