Appeal for information on dead body found at sea off Po Toi Islands (with photo)
Police today (February 9) appealed to the members of the public for information on a dead body found at the sea off Po Toi Islands on January 28 this year.
At about 5.15 pm on January 28, Marine Police received report that a dead body was floating at the sea off Po Toi Islands. The deceased was confirmed later to be a man aged about 20 to 40, standing about 1.7 metres and of medium build.
When found, he was wearing a beige long-sleeved T-shirt under a grey long-sleeved grey pullover; a pair of black trousers under a dark green PVC trousers, a black belt and a pair of grey socks. One black wallet with some Renminbi notes and Hong Kong dollar notes was also found in his possession.
No identity document could be found at scene. Initial Police investigation revealed no suspicious circumstance surrounding the death.
Police urge anyone who witnessed the incident to contact the investigating officers of Miscellaneous Enquiries Sub-unit of Aberdeen Division at 2870 7270.
