Appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in Shatin

Police today (November 17) appealed to the public to provide information on a traffic accident in which a 79-year-old woman was killed in Shatin today.

At about 7.05am, a coach driven by a 59-year-old man was travelling along the slow lane of westbound Yi Shing Square. When the coach reached a road near the bus terminal, the driver reportedly knocked down a 79-year-old woman who was crossing the road.

After the impact, the woman was certified dead at scene.

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories South are proceeding.
