Fatal traffic accident in Tung Chung

Police are investigating a traffic accident in which a 47-year-old woman was killed in Tung Chung this (November 8) afternoon.

Shortly before 1 pm, a light goods vehicle driven by a 47-year-old man reportedly knocked down a 47-year-old woman while reversing in the loading area of Fu Tung Estate market in Tung Chung.

Sustaining serious head injuries, the woman was trapped behing the vehicle. The woman was rushed to the Princess of Margaret Hospital where she was certified dead at 1.25 pm.

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic New Territories South are underway.
