Appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in Cheung Sha Wan

Police today (October 8) appealed to members of the public to provide information on a traffic accident in which a 79-year-old woman was killed in September.

At about 7.15 pm on September 29, a public light bus driven by a 47-year-old man was travelling along the second lane of westbound Lai Chi Kok Road. Upon reaching near Mei Foo Sun Chuen bus terminus, it reportedly knocked down the 79-year-old woman who was crossing the road.

After the impact, the woman was rushed to Princess Margaret Hospital where she was certified dead at 11.18 pm on the same day.

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West are proceeding.
