Appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in Mong Kok

Police today (September 18) appealed to members of the public for information on a traffic accident in which a 50-year-old woman died in Mong Kok today.

At about 7:10am today, a rubbish truck driven by a 46-year-old man was reversing along Soy Street and turned right into Tak Cheong Street. When it reached outside 90 Tak Cheong Street, it reportedly hit a 50-year-old woman.

After the impact, the woman was certified dead at scene.

The male driver was arrested for driving without a valid driving licence and dangerous driving causing death. Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East are underway.
