Appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in North Point
Police today (August 15) appealed to members of the public for information on a traffic accident in which a 54-year-old man died in North Point earlier this month.
At about 11.10pm on August 11, a motorcycle driven by the 54-year-old man was travelling along the first left lane of the Island Eastern Corridor. Upon reaching the access road leading to the Eastern Harbour Crossing, the driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle that skidded to the second left lane and fell down.
After the incident, the driver was found collapsed with serious head injury. He was sent to the Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital where he was certified dead at 5.40am on August 12.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Hong Kong Island are underway.
