Junior Police Call delegation begins tour to Beijing

A Junior Police Call (JPC) delegation, led by the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Operations), Mr Tang King-shing, departed from Hong Kong today (July 6) for a five-day cultural and educational visit to Beijing.

The tour was organised by the Police Force with sponsorship from JPC Honorary Presidents and assistance from the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in HKSAR. It is aimed at enhancing JPC members' sense of belonging to their country and broadening their horizons.

The delegation, comprising 100 JPC members, 10 JPC Honorary Presidents and 18 escorting staff members, will meet with officials of the Central People's Government, astronauts and Olympic Games gold medalists. They will also visit local police stations, youth organisations and historical sites.
