Fatal traffic accident in Tin Shui Wai
Police are investigating a traffic accident in which a seven-year-old boy was killed in Tin Shui Wai this (April 28) evening.
At about 7 pm, a private car driven by a 45-year-old woman was travelling along an unnamed road outside Grandeur Terrace towards Tin Shui Road and stopped in front of a zebra-crossing to give way to pedestrians. When the car started moving, it reportedly knocked down a seven-year-old boy who was running across the road.
The boy was trapped underneath the car and rescued by firemen. Sustaining serious injuries, he was rushed to Tuen Muen Hospital and was certified dead at 7.19 pm.
Investigations will be taken over by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic New Territories North.
