Fatal traffic accident in Lok Ma Chau

Police are investigating a traffic accident in which three men were killed in Lok Ma Chau this (March 2) morning.

Shortly before 7.30 am, a container truck driven by a 48-year-old man was travelling along a slip road of Castle Peak Road towards Lok Ma Chau roundabout. Upon reaching the roundabout, the container truck reportedly lost control, sideturned to the left and pressed on a private car driven by a 36-year-old man.

After the impact, the 36-year-old private car driver and his two male passengers aged 27 and 29 were certified dead at scene by the ambulancemen while the 48-year-old container truck driver was sent to the North District Hospital for treatment.

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of New Territories North are proceeding.
