Man charged with murder

Police today (February 24) charged a 37-year-old man with murder.

He was suspected to be in connection with the death of his 32-year-old ex-wife in September last year (2005).

Officers of the District Crime Squad of Tsuen Wan arrested the man at the Lo Wu Boundary Control Point upon his return to Hong Kong at about 4.45 pm on February 22.

The case was reported at about 6 pm on September 29, 2005 when the body of the 32-year-old woman was found lying on a bed inside a bedroom of a flat in a building on Shek Yam Road in Tsuen Wan.

Post-mortem results revealed that the woman died of strangulation.

The man will appear in Tsuen Wan Magistrates' Courts tomorrow (February 25).
