Special traffic arrangements in Wan Chai

Police will implement special traffic arrangements in the vicinity of Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai to facilitate a function to be held on February 9.

The special traffic arrangements to be implemented are as follows:

(A) Road Closure

The following road will be closed between 3 pm and 8.30 pm:
(i) Expo Drive East north of Expo Drive (the cul-de-sac of Expo Drive East);

The following roads will be closed between 4 pm and 8.30 pm:
(i) Expo Drive;
(ii) Expo Drive Central;
(iii) Expo Drive East; and
(iv) Lung King Street.

Convention Avenue between Fenwick Pier Street and Fleming Road will be closed if necessary between 4 pm and 8.30 pm.

When the above road is closed, the following traffic diversion will be implemented:
(i) Vehicles on eastbound Fenwick Pier Street are prohibited to enter Convention Avenue. Drivers will use Harbour Road to continue their journey; and
(ii) Vehicles on westbound Convention Avenue must turn left to southbound Fleming Road.

(B)Traffic Diversion

The following road diversion will be implemented between 4 pm and 8.30 pm:
(i) Vehicles on eastbound Convention Avenue will be prohibited to turn left to northbound Expo Drive East;
(ii) Vehicles on southbound Expo Drive East must turn left to eastbound Convention Avenue;
(iii) Vehicles on eastbound Expo Drive Central must turn right to southbound Expo Drive east; and
(iv) Vehicles on northbound Expo Drive East must turn left to westbound Expo Drive.

(C)Suspension of Bus Terminus

The bus terminus at Expo Drive East beside the Bauhinia Square will be temporarily suspended between 3 pm and 8.30 pm. It will be relocated to the bus terminus opposite to Wan Chai Ferry Pier.

(D) Suspension of Taxi Stands

(i) The taxi stand at Expo Drive East beside the Bauhinia Square will be temporarily suspended between 3 pm and 8.30 pm.
(ii) The taxi stand next to the Wan Chai Ferry Pier Bus Terminus will be temporarily suspended between 4 pm and 8.30 pm.

(E)Suspension of Parking Spaces

The following roadside parking spaces will be temporarily suspended between 4 pm and 8.30 pm:
(i) All metered parking spaces for coach along Expo Drive East;
(ii) All metered parking spaces along Lung King Street; and
(iii) All motorcycle parking spaces along Lung King Street.
