Fatal traffic accident in Tseung Kwan O

Police are investigating a traffic accident in which a nine-year-old boy was killed in Tseung Kwan O this morning (February 7).

At about 7.25 am, a light goods vehicle driven by a 33-year-old man was travelling along southbound Tsui Lam Road. When reaching near King Ming Court, it reportedly knocked down the boy who was crossing the road.

Sustaining serious injuries to his head, the boy was rushed to Tseung Kwan O Hospital where he was certified dead at 8.10 am.

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East are proceeding.
