Man jailed for trafficking in dangerous drugs
A 36-year-old man was today (January 12) sentenced to eight years' imprisonment for trafficking in dangerous drugs at the Court of First Instance.

On March 5, 2005, the operation turned overt and the defendant was arrested after a number of controlled buy transactions involving the sale of Ice and Ecstasy were successfully completed by an undercover Police officer.
The defendant was subsequently charged with trafficking in dangerous drugs.
He pleaded guilty and was sentenced at the Court of First Instance today for eight years' imprisonment.
