The Hong Kong Police Band (Police Band) was invited by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Wuhan of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region to perform in Wuhan, Taiyuan, Nanchang and Changsha between May 25 and June 5 to tie in with the Basic Law and Hong Kong National Security Law exhibition. The visit was the first time that the Police Band performed in the Mainland since the epidemic, telling good stories of the Hong Kong Police Force and demonstrating the Police Band’s patriotism.
In addition to performing at the opening ceremony of the exhibition, the Police Band also held more than 20 concerts at different venues, as well as making marching performance in famous outdoor shopping streets. It even launched the “Music Touch” activity in the Mainland and had contacted more than 5 000 students. The Band members were arranged to visit the Wuhan Police Museum and tour monuments of the cities to gain a deeper understanding of the development of the national police force and the cultural heritage of our country.
