Information Systems Wing (ISW) was invited by the European Emergency Number Association (EENA) to share on the topic of Smart Rescue and Emergency Call Handling in Hong Kong at its annual conference held at Ljubljana, Slovenia between April 19 and 21.

Led by Assistant Commissioner (Information Systems) Kwan Chui-ching, the Force delegation participated as both exhibitor and speaker, joining other emergency services and telecommunication specialists across the world to exchange ideas and explore proactively on the challenges in handling emergency communications. The sharing session by the Force generated positive feedback from the participants.

The EENA community comprises more than 1 500 emergency services representatives from over 80 countries worldwide. The event is the largest conference and exhibition dedicated for the emergency communications professionals in the world.

Moreover, an ISW delegation visited the Federal Office of Police of Switzerland on April 24 to exchange on the latest innovative smart solutions and the challenges in digital policing. Officers from both sides recognised the need to tackle daily policing issues with advanced technologies.
