Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau (CSTCB) launched the “All-round CyberDefence” campaign in the first quarter of this year to disseminate digital security and anti-deception messages among the community through various online and offline activities.

Ad-Truck Tours

Together with the Police Community Relations Officers, community leaders, Junior Police Call, Senior Police Call and other stakeholders in various districts of the Force, CSTCB sent its All-round CyberDefence ad-truck to different districts of the territory to distribute anti-deception publicity souvenirs to members of the public, as well as promoting the one-stop online scam and cyber pitfall search engine Scameter to raise public awareness of online scam. To enhance publicity, the All-Round CyberDefence Ice-cream Van toured various districts of the territory between January 28 and February 10. Free soft ice-cream was offered to the public in Causeway Bay and Tsim Sha Tsui on January 29 and February 5 respectively.

Cyber Attack and Defense Elite Training 2022/23 - Professional Series

An event tailor-made for the IT industry, Cyber Attack and Defense Elite Training 2022/23 - Professional Series, was held at 3HK’s exhibition hub – DIGIBox on January 6, attracting the participation of over 70 cyber security practitioners and managers. The teams competed on incident handling by responding to various simulated ransomware cyber attacks. Through this event, CSTCB aims to join hands with the stakeholders of the industry and critical infrastructures to achieve “All-round CyberDefence”.

Scameter+ App

To facilitate the public using Scameter, the mobile app version Scameter+ will be launched in mid-February.

CyberDefenders’ Carnival

The flagship event, CyberDefenders’ Carnival, will be held at the West Kowloon Cultural District on February 18. It features technology booths, dancing and singing performances, food stalls etc. to promote digital literacy for all in a light-hearted manner. Admission is free and all are welcome.
