To promote winter precaution and fight crime messages, District Commander of Tseung Kwan O District (TKODIST) Mak Man-yu, Chairman of District Fight Crime Committee (Sai Kung District) Mr Ng Sze-fuk and officers of the District Office, together with community leaders and Senior Police Call (SPC) members, took part in the Winter Precaution and Fight Crime Float Publicity Campaign outside Po Lam MTR Station on January 13. The anti-crime float displayed promotion posters and broadcast anti-crime messages to step up publicity. The delegation distributed publicity souvenirs to the public and shop tenants in the district to celebrate Chinese New Year and remind them to be on the alert for deception, theft and burglary.

To raise public awareness of deception prevention and fighting crimes, Wong Tai Sin District (WTSDIST) launched the Winter Precaution Fight Crime Bus Parade in Wong Tai Sin Division and Sai Kung Division on January 6 and January 13 respectively. Officers from Marine Outer Waters District (MOWDIST), SPC members of WTSDIST and MOWDIST, together with representatives of Wong Tai Sin District Office, District Fight Crime Committee (Wong Tai Sin District), Sai Kung District Office, District Fight Crime Committee (Sai Kung District), Sai Kung Rural Committee and Sai Kung Kai Fong Committee, attended the event. The bus broadcast anti-deception messages to the public along the way. The attending officers distributed publicity souvenirs to the public and shop tenants to raise their awareness of scam prevention and promote the Anti-Scam Helpline 18222.
