Eastern District (EDIST), together with the Operations Bureau of Hong Kong Island (OPS HKI), installed promotional booths at the police stations of North Point, Wan Chai, Central and Western Divisions on January 12 and January 17 under the theme “Fai Chun ‘Drink-writing’ – Better Understand Intoxication” to promote the culture of integrity management and raise the officers’ awareness of the harm of intoxication. The participants put on the glasses with special effects while writing fai chun. Through experiencing the impaired vision being simulated and uncoordinated body movements under intoxication, the officers were alert to the impact of drink-driving. The causes and harms of alcoholism were analysed through the games at the stalls. Information on reducing alcohol consumption was also provided for the officers to understand the serious consequence of intoxication.
