The Junior Police Call Annual General Meeting (JPC AGM) 2021 held at the Police Headquarters on October 8 was attended by over 180 guests and JPC members. JPC Honorary Chief President cum Secretary for Security Tang Ping-keung, JPC Honorary Deputy-Chief President cum Commissioner Siu Chak-yee and officiating guests presented certificates of appreciation to 18 JPC Honorary Presidents who had been serving the JPC for 25 and 20 years respectively, 35 JPC School Clubs for their long-term support to JPC and four JPC Advanced Leaders who had received Outstanding Awards. At the meeting, Secretary of The Hongkong Bank Foundation Mr William Chiu and other officiating guests presented awards to the top three winners of the primary school, secondary school and open categories of the Financial Management & Anti-deception Short Video Contest.
In his opening speech, the Secretary for Security said that JPC had been fighting crimes with young people through diversified activities to cultivate in them positive thinking, law-abidingness, discipline and team spirit for nurturing them to “Be a Leader, Fight Crime Together” in our society.
Chairman of the JPC Scheme, Acting Chief Superintendent of the Public Relation Wing Yau Sin-man reviewed the activities organised by JPC in the past year and introduced the way forward of JPC. To bring a new image to JPC members and strengthen their sense of belonging, new JPC uniforms were also released at the meeting. The upcoming new uniforms designed by the PolyU School of Fashion and Textiles together with JPC members were introduced and shown by four JPC members.
Only with the active participation and support of members of the JPC Central Advisory Board, JPC Honorary Presidents from different police districts, principals, teachers of JPC School Clubs and colleagues of the Police Community Relation Offices can JPC become an enormous and excellent organisation of young people for nurturing them to “Be a Leader , Fight Crime Together”.
