The New Territories North Regional Knowledge Management Committee organised a sharing session of Knowledge Café on “Strategy for Handling Land Disputes” at the New Territories North (NTN) Regional Headquarters on September 29. Representatives from nine government departments were invited to talk about their roles in handling land disputes and share related knowledge, legislation and law enforcement experiences.
Assistant Divisional Commander (Operations and Crime) of Pat Heung Division Tam Mui-hon spoke on the challenges faced by frontline officers in handling land disputes. Through case studies, he explained the approach to deal with land disputes, as well as the effective use of equipment to control the scene and gather evidence.
The sharing session was attended by officers of NTN Region and New Territories South Region. It was also broadcast live to four police districts of NTN Region to allow more officers to participate in the event. Officers found the event practical for boosting their skills in handling land disputes, as well as enhancing the Force’s communication and collaboration with other government departments. Officers may view the video of the event on the Force’s internal video sharing platform “P-TV” and the Knowledge Management Portal (KM Portal) on the Police Intranet.
The NTN Regional KM Coordinator Ho Chun-chung thanked officers for their participation and the representatives of government departments for sharing their knowledge. NTN Region will continue to organise sharing sessions of Knowledge Café on various topics and upload different training guides and tools on “P-TV” and the KM Portal.
