Chairman Mr Li Hon-hung, Vice Chairman Mr Lo Wing-man, member Dr Chan Tung and other members of Sham Shui Po District Fight Crime Committee, together with Legislative Councillor Mr Cheng Wing-shun, Sham Shui Po District Councillor Ms Lau Pui-yuk and other community representatives, presented pennants to Kowloon West Region (KW) and Sham Shui Po District (SSPODIST) on May 17 in recognition of their professionalism and swift action in detecting a case of "Wounding with Intent" and "Possession of Offensive Weapons".

SSPODIST Commander Ho Kai-hin and Senior Superintendent (KW Regional Crime Headquarters) Ng Wing-sze led officers from KW Regional Crime Unit Team 4A and SSPODIST Anti-Triad Section Team 1 to receive the pennants.

The case took place on April 12 during which a two-way permit holder had a dispute with two men at the junction of Cheung Sha Wan Road and Kweilin Street. The two-way permit holder assaulted the two men with a metal rod and one of the men fought back with a concrete hammer and fled. After thorough investigation and intelligence analysis, KW Regional Headquarters and SSPODIST swiftly arrested three male and two female suspects, including the two-way permit-holder and the hammer attacker.
