KM Conversation cum Workshop a resounding success
The Knowledge Management Conversation cum Workshop 2019 was held at the Police Headquarters on May 9, with over 300 Knowledge Management (KM) Ambassadors and enthusiasts taking part in the event.
Officiating at the event, Force Knowledge Officer cum Director of the Police College Dr Cheung Ching welcomed the Force KM Champions and Regional KM Champions to join the KM family. She thanked them for their efforts in formulating plans for promoting KM in the Force in the coming year.
During the KM Conversation, Chief Knowledge Champion cum Deputy Director (2) of the Police College Dr Chiu Sau-mee introduced the new KM members, including Regional KM Champions, Knowledge Associates as well as Training and Staff Relations Officers serving as KM Executives at formation levels. Dr Chiu also made arrangements for seven Force KM Champions and five Regional KM Champions to explain the KM initiatives in their respective domains and regions for the year ahead. She stressed that KM is the gene of the Force and that every police officer should continue to "make KM a habit" and showcase "3S", which stands for Synergy, Smart and Smile, in their daily work.
Afterwards, Professor Eric Tsui, the Director of the Knowledge Management and Innovation Research Centre of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University cum Honorary College Adviser, presided over the KM workshop. The workshop aimed to encourage the participants to enhance KM implementation by using the latest information technology and innovation tools with reference to the initiatives put forward by the Force KM Champions and Regional KM Champions. It was the first time that the KM workshop was conducted in a roundtable and interactive format. The workshop received positive feedback.
