As Yuen Long is home to many Non-ethnic Chinese (NEC), Yuen Long District (YLDIST) continues to offer Nepali course to frontline officers in their spare time. Besides elementary Nepali, course instructor also introduced the lifestyle, culture and tradition of Nepalese as well as their way of life in Hong Kong. The objectives of the course were to help frontline officers understand the NEC better and strengthen mutual communication.

 

In the graduation ceremony of the course held on March 17, YLDIST Commander, Chief Superintendent (CSP) Tsang Cheung-tat, presented certificates of graduation to the course participants. He also encouraged his officers to get better equipped for their jobs.
