Tuen Mun District Councillor Mr Au Chi-yuen and a victim of a burglary case, Mr Chan, presented silk banners to Tuen Mun District (TMDIST) Commander Mak Wai-man, Acting Assistant District Commander (Crime) Li Suk-yee, Divisional Commander of Tuen Mun Division (TMDIV) Lai Yin-yue, officers from District Investigation Team 7 (DIT 7) and Task Force Sub-unit of TMDIV on April 24. The presentation showed their appreciation to the officers for having apprehended a suspect who had involved in a number of burglary cases in the district.

In early March, the Force received reports that a series of burglaries occurred in old-style Chinese tenements. DIT 7 analysed the cases and pinpointed some buildings that would likely become the next targets of burglars, and then the Task Force Sub-unit followed up. On March 27, a suspect attempting to burgle a flat was caught red-handed, and he was found carrying valuables that were stolen in other burglary cases.
