All full-time non-final year undergraduates* of local higher education institutions.

The Auxiliary Undergraduate Scheme (AUS) was launched in 2003 to recruit undergraduates of local universities and tertiary institutions to be Police Constables (Auxiliary). AUS members will be offered a 370-hour intensive training programme over the summer holidays (normally eight hours daily between Jun and Aug) or they may choose to join other training periods spread out throughout the year (normally two to three evenings and one weekend).
