Kowloon West (KW) Regional Crime Prevention Office, in collaboration with the Security and Guarding Services Industry Authority (SGSIA) and The Hong Kong Association of Property Management Companies (HKAPMC), organized the “KW Region Best Security Services Awards 2022” Presentation Ceremony at the Police Sports and Recreation Club on September 7.
Officiating at the event were KW Regional Commander Rupert Dover, Chairman of SGSIA YIP Chun-nam Stephen, President of HKAPMC Dr. CHENG Kam-wah Edmond, and Immediate Past President of HKAPMC Dr. CHAN Chi-kau Johnnie. In his speech, Mr. Dover emphasized the importance of “engaging the community and working hand in hand” and stated that the Police, security services and property management industries, and community stakeholders would continue working closely to tackle any challenges and build a safe community together. At the event, Dr. Chan was appointed as the Honourary Consultant of the scheme and commended for making proactive efforts to enhance the industry’s service quality and assist the Police in preventing crimes in the past 20 years.
The Best Security Guard Gold Award winner Mr. WONG Chi-wing displayed unparalleled courage when dealing with a case of “Possession of Corrosive Fluid”. With calmness and decisiveness, he grabbed the drain cleaner from the culprit, thereby preventing a serious case from happening. The incident fully demonstrated his great devotion to duty and professionalism.
