Regional Crime Prevention Office of Kowloon West (KW), collaborating with the Security and Guarding Services Industry Authority (SGSIA) and the Hong Kong Association of Property Management Companies (HKAPMC), hosted “Kowloon West Best Security Services Awards Presentation Ceremony” for 2018 at the Police Sports and Recreation Club on May 9. Officiating guests included KW Regional Commander CHEUK Hau-yip, the Chairman of SGSIA Jane Curzon LO and the President of HKAPMC Dr. CHAN Chi-kau.
CHEUK Hau-yip expressed thanks to the frontline security officers, who held their positions when Super Typhoon “Mangkhut” hit Hong Kong last year, for handling all sorts of requests for assistance from residents and taking follow-up actions, and complimented on their great effort and professionalism. CHEUK Hau-yip also mentioned the Strategic Directions 2019-2021 of the Force and encouraged the industry and all stakeholders to deal with upcoming challenges on policing together, in a bid to enhance the awareness of preventing crime, fighting crime and taking up responsibility for public safety through the expansion of community network and strengthened communication between the Force and the community.
On the 19th year hosting the “Best Security Services Awards”, KW aimed to recognize the effort of security guards and property management companies and compliment the staff on their outstanding performances, as well as to enhance the mutual trust and improve the cooperation among the industries and the Force, in a bid to prevent crime effectively, build a safe community and keep the peace.
