Information sought on fatal traffic accident in Sham Shui Po

Police have appealed for information about a traffic accident in Sham Shui Po on Monday (November 12) in which a 71-year-old woman was killed.

About 2.20pm, a bus was travelling southwest along Nam Cheong Street, Sham Shui Po. At the junction with Woh Chai Street, the bus hit the 71-year-old woman who was crossing the road.

The woman, who sustained serious injuries, was taken to Princess Margaret Hospital where she was certified dead at 8.29 that night.

The bus driver, 47, was arrested for dangerous driving and was released on bail pending further investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West.
