Reward for information about murder in 2003
Police are offering a reward of $300,000 for information that helps them solve a murder in Yuen Long in November, 2003. The Asian male is wanted in connection with the case.
About 2.45pm on November 22, 2003, Police received a report that a 73-year-old expatriate man had been found injured in his bedroom at his home in Kam Hing Wai, Pat Heung.
The man was subsequently confirmed dead by ambulancemen at the scene A post-mortem examination showed that the man died of multiple stab wounds. Police found signs of ransacking in the house and found a pair of scissors inside the flat.
Investigations revealed that the man was last seen shopping in a Kam Tin supermarket with an Asian male, aged about 28 to 33, about 1.7 metres tall, of medium built and with short black hair.
Police urge anyone who has information on the case or the identity and whereabouts of the suspect to contact any police station or the investigating officers of Regional Crime Unit of New Territories North on 2666 4475 or 2666 4476.
They can also give the information by letter to General Post Office Box No.999, by fax at 2520 2828 or by e-mail at crimeinformation@police.gov.hk.
The reward will be paid either in full or pro-rata to any person or shared among people giving information leading to the arrest and satisfactory prosecution of the killer. The reward is valid until April 7, 2008.
