Police appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in Aberdeen

Police today (October 4) appealed for information about a traffic accident in Aberdeen on October 1 in which a 79-year-old woman who was injured subsequently died in hospital.

A public light bus being driven by a 34-year-old man was reversing on Yue Fai Road about 6.23am on October 1. The light bus hit a metal cart which became wedged underneath the bus'rear wheels. The woman was found lying beside the cart with head injuries.

She was taken to Queen Mary Hospital where she was certified dead at 1.50am yesterday (October 3).

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Hong Kong Island are under way.
