Police appeal for information on serious traffic accident in Wan Chai
Police today appealed for information about a traffic accident in Wan Chai this morning (September 29) in which a man was seriously injured.
About 5.45am, a taxi being driven by a 50-year-old man was travelling east along Hennessy Road. At the junction with Luard Road, the taxi hit the man who was crossing the road.
The man was taken to Ruttonjee Hospital and was later transferrred to the Queen Mary Hospital for medical treatment.
No identity document was found on the man. He is in his 70s, about 1.59 metres tall, of thin build and short white hair. He was wearing a white checker shirt, dark pants and black shoes.
Investigations by the Accident Investigation Team, Traffic, Hong Kong Island, are proceeding.
