Police appeal for witnesses on Sha Tin traffic accident
Police are looking for witnesses of a traffic accident occurred today (August 19) in Sha Tin in which a 79-year-old woman sustained serious injuries.
At about 10 am this morning, a bus driven by a 47-year-old man was travelling along the second lane of Sha Kok Street northbound and preparing to turn right into Sha Tin Wai Road eastbound. Upon approaching the first lane of Sha Tin Wai Road eastbound, the bus reportedly hit a 79-year-old woman who was crossing the road with an iron trolley.
Sustained serious head injuries, the 79-year-old woman was rushed to the Prince of Wales Hospital in unconscious.
Investigations by the Accident Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories South are underway.
