Appeal for information on serious traffic accident in Kwai Chung
Police today (August 12) appealed to members of the public to provide information on a serious traffic accident in which a 68-year-old man was injured during in Kwai Chung the accident.
At about 5.30 am, a taxi driven by a 64-year-old man was travelling along Lai King Shan Road heading for Kwai Chung. Upon approaching the junction with Joint Road, the taxi reportedly knocked down a 68-year-old man who was crossing the road with a trolley.
The injured man was rushed to Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH) where he was admitted in a serious condition.
Investigations by the Accident Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories South are proceeding.
Police are appealing for the two male passsengers on-board the taxi, aged around 46 and 10 respectively who travelled from PMH to Tung Chung area or anyone who might have witnessed the incident to contact the investigation officers at 3661 1300.
